6•24 {day 23}

Another day spent at the U. I got to register for my classes. I'm super excited to go there & start school in the fall! I had a great time and I'm glad I met new friends. 

Later that night I went to the drive in with Landen, Jordan, & Morgan. It was so fun but it made me realize how much I'm going to miss all my friends leaving on missions. It's weird to know that I won't be seeing them for two whole years. It's even weirder to think we're old enough for that. 

6•23 {day 22}

Right when I was getting used to sleeping in my own bed & being home for a bit... I had to wake up & head to the U for their overnight orientation. I was super nervous cause I didn't really know anyone up there but it ended up being great!! I had a blast & made soo many new friends! Way more than I would've imagined. We had a cute little party at the end of the day and I got to know more people! It helped that I'm a social person but it made me excited to head off to college in the fall! I'm not excited to sleep in the dorm beds though... That was awful! Probably the worst nights sleep. 

6•22 {day 21}

Oh boy was it good to be home! Except for the fact that I spent most of my day training for work... It took me about 8ish hours & I still didn't finish. It was so hard cause I just wanted to sleep or chat with my cute family. I didn't do much that that so that basically sums up my day 

CALIFORNIA (UTAH) GIRLS

Our Cali trip taught me so much about myself & my friends. I learned a lot of life lessons that I never would've expected. We had tons of fun but of course there were some arguments & bickering that happened. But I'm so glad I went! 

The three most common things we said this trip were

1. "Oh another U-turn... We went the wrong way again!" -I don't think there was a day that we didn't go the wrong way or get lost for a bit. We struggled with directions

2. "Look for a parking spot!" -I don't know how anyone can live in Cali... There isn't anywhere to park or if there is it like $12 bucks! It's insane.

3. "Will you pass me the Chappy?!" - That one mostly came from me because the first couple days I was recovering from my Lake Powell swollen lip incident so they got dry really fast. But throughout the trip we all got pretty dehydrated so all the girls we're saying it too.

It was quiet the experience... Not what I expected it to be but still lots of fun!! Plus we got to play in the sun☀️

6•21 {day 20}

This was probably the most pointless & annoying day of my life. We woke up early around 6 to drive home... We had to pack up & get gas so we technically didn't get on the road till 6:45. I fell asleep in the car shortly after and woke up around 8. When I woke up we weren't on the freeway anymore so I was a little concerned. The girls told me the carpool lane ended suddenly and forced them onto and exit. So they decided to get breakfast while they were off. It literally took us 35 minutes to find the freaking McDonald's but Blaikly insisted that's what she had to have for breakfast. We made a million circles trying to find it. It was ridiculous. So finally we were back on the road when an hour later we hit traffic. That slowed us down a ton! After 4.5 more stops (including Syd peeing/pooping in a cup... Sorta) the AC going out for a bit & getting pulled over by a cop ((yes I got a stupid ticket)) we finally made it home around 8:20. I've never been so glad to see South Jordan in all of my life. I'm glad to be home! 

6•20 {day 19}

We spent most of the day getting hit on by guys at the Huntington beach & shops. It was a fun day in the sun! We also had a mini photo shoot on the beach lol

After we watched the sunset we went to dinner at Chipolete. It wasn't as good as I expected it to be... I like Cafe Rio better for sure. Then we were planning on going to a party that night but we had some time to kill so we decided to wash our hair in the Albertson's bathroom. (Not the best idea...) the water pressure was HORRIBLE!! It took us forever to wash & rinse. After we were finally ready we headed over to Long Beach for the party. We got there took one lap around the place & then left. We couldn't handle all that weed & alcohol!! It was disgusting. We kinda just messed around in the street for a while after, which was hilarious! I had more fun there then I did the whole 7 minutes at the party!

6•19 {day 18}

We didn't do a whole lot today. We spent the majority of our morning in China Town

I bought more than I probably should have but I wanted to make sure everyone in my family got something! All of us girls got a couple baby turtles🐢 

We had fun in china town but after we drove home we layed out by the pool for a while. Then we went back & helped with dinner. After we are we played with our babies some more!! They're basically the cutest little things ever. To end the night we went on a run to some trails that had a beautiful view of the city & then took a late night dip in the pool! 

6•18 {day 17}

The word that describes today was spontaneous. We did everything in a 'spur of the moment' decision. We woke up and decided we wanted to go to the aquarium in Long Beach. That was a really neat experience! We got to pet stingrays and baby sharks!! I loved it.

After that I suggested we go to Huntington Beach... The girls weren't too convinced but I told them that's where all the cute boys were so they agreed to go there. I LOVED it there!! It's the perfect vibe. I love all the college aged people everywhere.

When we were at the beach we stood on the pier looking at all the people (guys) below us. We found some cuties playing football, as we were watching them play 3 really hot older guys walked in front of them. I thought one waved at me so I went to wave back but he didn't see so all the girls started laughing cause I got denied. The guys heard us laughing so they looked up and said "oh is something funny?!" "Haha yeah" I answered! So then he asked what we were doing on Friday "nothing, why?" I answered "there's a party in long beach, you should come!!" 

"Okay, where?"

"Uhhh... Long beach? Haha"

"No but where in Long Beach?"

He said somewhere in long beach then started giving me his number... "Oh you're not gonna remember it" so I started yelling my number! He got it and said he'd text me. So of course we all freaked out when he really did text me later that night! We made more friends in Huntington that day.

For the rest of the day we went to Newport. Right when we found a parking spot we saw a nail salon so we decided to go get a pedicure!

It was so fun! Then we walked around Newport & got dinner at the Old Spagetti Factory.

Then we crashed at Blaikly's grandmas instead of going all the way back to her aunts house. It was an adventurous day for sure!! 

6•17 {day 16}

Our second day in Cali wasn't quiet as eventful but it was still just as fun. We went to Zuma beach again but today I got to surf!! I had a blast! We spent most of the morning there then we got some ice cream on the way home! 

We decided to go swimming when we got back to Blaikly's aunts house. 

(Yes it was a struggle taking those pics with self-timer) 

Because we were so exhausted & tired we just lounged around and watched movies the rest of the night. I'm still loving it here but being away from home for a week now I'm starting to get homesick... I'm craving a good home cooked meal (I've had a pb & j sandwich everyday the past 5 days) I guess it's just practice for college though. 

6•16 {day 15}

Our first day in California wasn't what I expected it to be, but it still was so much fun! We woke up early and headed to the beach. It was still a little chilly so we took a nap on the beach, I woke up to the girls freaking out because there were dolphins swimming so close to the shore! It was so cool. We spent the rest of the time playing in the sand & catching some rays. 

After the beach we spent our afternoon shopping at the Promenade. We literally shopped till we dropped. 

To end the day we went to the Santa Montica Pier... Overall it was a really great day! 

6•15 {day 14} fathers day💙

Happy Father's Day to my cute dad & all the other dads out there! 

I love my dad sooo much! I'm grateful to have the relationship that I do with him. He's one of my best friends! I know I can go to him with any problem and he'll know exactly how to fix it. I love all the fun crazy memories we have. Thanks for all the good times! 

Today we went to Nick's farewell. He did a great job but it made me sad cause I realized that I won't see him for 2 years. I'm gonna miss all my friends that are leaving on their missions! But I'm so proud of them for their decisions to serve! After that we've spent the rest of the day driving in the car. We had some really good heart to hearts. We're already so much closer! I'm so excited to spend the week with Syd, Blaik, and Hannah in the warm Cali sun! It'll be a good week. 

6•14 {day 13}

I'm so glad we live in a beautiful world! Today was perfect, I loved seeing all the beautiful senery around the lake. I couldn't get over how beautiful it was. I had so much fun in Powell. Today we did more tubing... I could not stop laughing the entire time. I rode on a tube with my dad & Mike Bloxham, it was hilarious!! We also knee boarded & swam through a mini canyon. This trip has been incredible & it breaks my heart that we had to leave. But now we're on our way home. Curt is driving me, Syd, & kass home late at night... but at least we're making memories. 

Lake Powell with my best friends definitely made my list of favorite trips!! I'll cherish the memories forever❤️

6•13 {day 12}

Another day spent on the beautiful lake. We didn't do as much... We mostly just took it easy & relaxed. But we also did some cliff jumping, swimming, & 'panama'ing. It ended up being a really windy day so we had to come home a little early in the 30 mph wind. Then later we took a group bike ride down to the Pizza place for some yummy dinner! Overall it was a really great day!! 

6•12 {day 11}

We spent our day soakin' up the sun! We had a good time laughing & playing all day long. I'm in love with it here, I never wanna leave! I love being surrounded with good, fun people. The day was full of wake boarding, swimming, cliff jumping, tubing, and catching rays...

The night iended by us sitting around chatting and laughing some more. 

6•11 {day 10}

This was my view for the night... We pretty much spent the whole afternoon/night driving to Lake Powell. Me Syd & Curt all rode in his car together we were rocking out & blasting the music the whole time!! It was tons of fun! I'm so excited to spend the rest of the week with my family & all my best friends.

6•10 {day 9}

Yesterday was my last day working at Jolley's Pharmacy. I'm excited to be moving on but it breaks my heart knowing that I'm not gonna be working with my mom anymore. I loved being able to see her all the time at work. It was so fun knowing that I'd be able to see her & just catch up on how the day went. I enjoyed her company everyday, I'll truly miss it.

That night I went and got snow cones with Nate!! After a couple spilled snow cones and some sticky messes we watched a movie the rest of the night. We always have a fun time whenever we're together!💛🌻☀️⭐️

 

6•9 {day 8}

After a long casual day I spent the night watching Netflix. Around 11 o'clock I got a call from Nick. After I answered he said "How fast can you get to Syd's?" Confused I answered "Pretty fast, why?"

Turns out they wanted to float the Jordan river and asked if I was down to go with them. Obviously I said yes. It took us forever to float down the river but it was by far one the funniest experiences I've ever had! We were laughing the entire time. 

I learned that if you ever get a spontanious late night call from a friend... You better answer it. You never know what crazy plans they might have in store.

Today was N A T I O N A L  B E S T  F R I E N D  D A Y.  It made me realize how insanely blessed I am to have so many wonderful friendships. But more importantly it made me grateful for all the friendships I've ever had. 6•7 {day 6}

Yesterday I saw the movie A Fault In Our Stars... Let me just tell you, it's darling! Literally the whole theatre bawled our eyes out. It made me realize that I want to find a guy that'll love me unconditionally the way Augustus loves Hazel-

After the movie we spent our night watching fireworks at the fair. It was a great summer night.
